Every time I see one of these come along, I immediately think of it as _another_ solution in search of a problem - in fact, I wonder why people keep trying to reinvent this particular wheel, since It isn't as if it hasn't been done before - the most public I can remember (and there were "many more":Disclaimer that I've seen - and opposed - over the years) was "Google Web Accelerator":Google/Web_Accelerator, which, thankfully, "died a quiet death":http://webaccelerator.google.com/. It seems that everyone (and I really mean everyone) in the industry has to have a go at breaking "the Eleventh Commandment":blog/2004/04/24, when all it ever adds up to is unnecessary trouble, complexity, and a sub-par user experience (especially in this day and age of server-side "HTTP":HTTP optmization and @gzip@ compression. But hey, if you're still on dial-up, be my guest.
