In the meantime, evidence is surfacing that "Mail.app":Mail.app in 10.5.2 does not do "IMAP":IMAP well (never mind standards compliance, the current bugs are tantamount to denial of service...)

Very nice statistics package that will walk your "IMAP":IMAP folder tree and output some very nice-looking graphs for frequent correspondents and whatnot.
